1. When beginning setup, place lid on ground upside down. Makes a nice accessory organizer.2. Find solid footing for box. Rear of reservoir box should be 2"- 4" higher than front depending on material to be run. 3. Too large of rocks (baseball size and slightly smaller) should be hand washed in the classifier and discarded to insure the classifier does not take excessive beating. Golf ball size and slightly larger are acceptable and can be beneficial in some instances.
Classifier 4. The Gold Cradle is more efficient than its ancestors. Plenty of water and full aggressive side to side rocking is in order. This unit was designed for both classified and bank run "non-classified" material. When previously classified material is run, install slower feed classifier insert along with plenty of water and agitation. The moss of the primary matting should always be visible and not packed up. 5. Always check classifier for nuggets before discarding washed material. Now is also a good time to view the primary moss. 6. The Gold Cradle primary was designed with quick and simple clean-up in mind. Do not hesitate to use that in your favor. It only takes a few seconds to do and the majority of gold will be found there. Save the final clean-up for end of day and make it easy on yourself.
Primary backed matting 7. Do not let tailing tray over fill with material past slot and run into reservoir box.
Tailing tray 8. During disassembly, remove primary baffle by holding front of baffle down on rivets and tapping up on rear from below
Primary baffle 9. The Gold Cradle works great by itself, or complements as an in line unit when working the concentrates of other larger machinery (dredges, high bankers, trommels, etc.). What comes out of the gold cradle is the right size material for finishing units( wheels, shaker tables, panning etc.). 10. How about the desert or metal detecting prospectors? When a patch of very fine nuggets is located creek side or in the hills, 5-10 gallons of water with the Gold Cradle and you can classify them pronto. Just keep the leaves, twigs, etc. out as much as possible 11. After use, both the rocker and reservoir box interior should be towel dried and or left with the lid ajar making it possible to air dry. Sustained mineralized moisture in the nearly airtight environment can have negative cosmetic results. 12. With proper clean up, this unit is maintenance free and with constant use, both Gold Cradle and user stay in their best condition. What other exercise equipment will pay you gold for using them? 13. Fill your holes and leave your prospecting area cleaner than when you arrived. Always makes for a better drive home. |
